As a creator, listing an ad-slot for upcoming content is free. For a limited time, Vods deducts no creator fee: an auction that closes while the promotion runs pays you its full hammer price. There are no hidden additional fees, and no fees at all if any issues or cancellations within your order arise.

All auctions can be independently listed and submitted for free and will swiftly undergo the Vods.com manual approval process before publicly showing your auction on the marketplace. When the bidding concludes, Vods.com will middleman the final stages of the transaction with the winning bidder. We ensure a guaranteed positive experience between both parties and only deem a transaction complete once both parties are satisfied with the outcome of the deal. Once the transaction is complete, the seller will receive a payout for the auction, minus the applicable Vods.com fee.

New Vods auctions are added daily, quantity dependent on the creators on the platform. As an auctions member, you can browse all listings or narrow your ideal audience by filtering results based on selected preferences. You can also add any auction (current or completed listings) to your watchlist, making it easier and more organized to manage.

Each auction is manually reviewed and audited by our team before listing approval, ensuring deliverables are provided clearly and that every auction on Vods.com is bidder-satisfactory. A detailed description of the deliverables are accurately provided in every listing and are subject to a money-back guarantee.

Bidding is easy and secure. Once you are signed in to your account and have fully set up your payment info, simply click “Bid Now” and enter the amount that you wish to bid to participate in a listing. When bidding, you can either submit a bid at the minimum allowed increment, or utilize the ‘Max Bid’ function, which allows you to set a bid ceiling, which the system will automatically bid on your behalf up to that limit.

All auctions have a messaging feature that allows bidders to write to creators on each lot with any questions or inquiries they may have. Interested bidders can engage in discussion and ask questions to the creator, providing more clarity before the sale even concludes. Winning bidders will be able to message the creator privately via direct inbox during the order process.

The winning bidder should not be determined by the speed of their internet connection and being a last-second bid. Vods adheres to a “3 Minute Rule”, meaning that in the last 3 minutes of each listing, a bid will extend the auction by an additional five minutes. The auction closes when those five minutes have passed with no following bids.

If you are the successful high bidder, your credit card will automatically be charged 5% buyers premium of the bid to ensure a fair and authentic transaction. You will receive an emailed invoice with a payment link to complete the remainder balance of the transaction (hammer price). It is by good faith, asked that you complete the payment as soon as possible or within 24 hours. Included in the invoice will be a link to your account dashboard to submit deliverables, as well as any taxes we may be obligated to collect based on your billing address. Should you break the binding bid contract, the buyers premium will be posted as a non-refundable -5% penalty fee, based on the hammer price.

No, bids and offers can't be canceled. We take the integrity of creator auctions seriously and want to ensure both you and creators are guaranteed satisfaction in a transaction. Each bid submitted is a binding contract, and your bid commits you to purchase the ad if you place the winning bid. Should you win an auction and not complete the payment of your bid, the -5% charge will become a non-refundable penalty fee (5% calculated from your winning bid).

The timing of when you receive your sponsored advert depends on multiple different factors, though Vods provides straightforward information during the auction process to ensure middleground and a clear expectation of deliverables for the bidder.

Winning: Check the Orders section under Profile dashboard in your bidder account. Under the Status column, the date following Air time of advert: is your deadline submission date to provide brand assets to the creator. Submitting deliverables on time is your responsibility.

Vods doesn't send any tax documents pertaining to the purchase or proceeds of auctions through Vods.com — such as 1099 forms. All earnings must be self-reported by the creator. Vods does not offer any legal or tax advice, it is highly recommended reviewing your specific situation with a tax professional.
